The Model Shop Front Door serves as the central coordination and control point between R&D customers and PMTC manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all ShopTrack jobs are launched, communicated, revised, and executed using the correct drawings, revisions, and requirements, while maintaining alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for all ShopTrack job initiation, changes, and revisions.
  • Ensure all jobs are launched with correct drawing revisions, specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage and control revision changes, including cancellation and re-creation of ShopTrack jobs when required.
  • Enforce communication rules to prevent undocumented or direct designer-to-machinist revision changes.
  • Coordinate closely with Integration Engineering, Process Engineering, Machinists, Quality Technicians, and R&D customers.
  • Maintain traceability of customer communications, approvals, and revision history within ShopTrack.
  • Review incoming requests for completeness, manufacturability, and readiness before job release.
  • Support outsourcing decisions and coordination with external vendors and suppliers when applicable.
  • Assist with prioritization of work based on customer need, NPI urgency, and PMTC capacity constraints.
  • Provide status updates and proactive communication to stakeholders regarding job progress and issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, drawings, and revision control.
  • Experience working in a model shop, precision machining, or R&D manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with engineers, technicians, and leadership.
  • Working knowledge of MES / ShopTrack or similar job order and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Ability to identify risks related to revisions, scope changes, and incomplete requirements.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) environments.
  • Familiarity with Keysight PMTC processes, tooling, and manufacturing flow.
  • Experience working with external suppliers and outsourced manufacturing.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range: MIN $72,000.00 - MAX $120,000.00
