Summary
Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study.
Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.
Essential Functions
-Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.
-Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews.
-Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.
-Prepares data for analysis and data entry.
-Documents patient visits and procedures.
-Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures.
-Assists with interviewing study subjects.
-Assists with study regulator submissions.

Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

The Center for Ultrasound Research and Translation (CURT) is a multidisciplinary translational research center that collaborates extensively with MGH clinicians, MIT scientists, and industry partners to leverage cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic imaging tools to identify, quantify, and treat disease. Our broad mandate, to bring advances in imaging to the bedside, encompasses projects such as the development of non-invasive imaging biomarkers for chronic liver disease, the development of new image guided surgical robotic systems, and the creation of artificial intelligence image analysis/interpretation algorithms. At CURT, our work in academic science is intended to reach the clinic and have a tangible impact on improving human health.

The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) is an integral member of the CURT team who will coordinate numerous administrative and compliance tasks to support the smooth operation of studies. Specifically, the CRC I will contribute to subject recruitment, study coordination and scheduling, and assisting with subject visits. The CRC I will also contribute to the maintenance of study records in accordance with IRB rules and regulations. Contributions to administrative, financial, and operational tasks will be required.
