- In this role, you will safely operate, monitor, and control plant process units to meet production, quality, reliability, environmental, and customer requirements
- Continuously monitor operating conditions, anticipate issues, and make real-time process decisions within established operating limits
- Lead and support shift operations, providing direction and oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent plant performance
- You will ensure full compliance with corporate policies, SOPs, PSM/RMP, environmental regulations, and government requirements
- Coordinate and manage work permits, SWPs, LOTO, confined space permits, and equipment isolation through job completion and safe return to service
- Maintain accurate production logs, operating records, and required reports; communicate unit status and deviations to supervision and customers
- Support HES programs including MOC, LDAR/HON, waste management, zero waste initiatives, safety meetings, audits, and inspections
- You will conduct daily safety inspections, investigate incidents and near misses, and promote a strong safety and environmental culture
- Train and mentor operators on procedures, safety practices, and qualification requirements; support development and review of SOPs/SSOPs
- Assist with turnaround (TAR) planning and execution, maintenance coordination, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Also, you will ensure contractor compliance with safety, security, and plant rules; actively participate in emergency response and security requirements
What makes you great
- You have a High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical diploma preferred
- More than five (5+) years of plant or production operations experience are required
- You have strong knowledge of process operations, SOPs, P&IDs, safety systems, and regulatory compliance
- Proven leadership, teamwork, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills
