WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

Provide management and oversight of a program ensuring that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Provide planning, design and implementation support to assigned program area. Analyze program activity and identify areas for improvement. May work with internal and external contacts to develop program strategies and proposal initiatives. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD(Key Responsibilities):

  • Direct and coordinate Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies activities concerned with achieving the objectives and standards of the Client Services Mass Care program.
  • Responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies Services.
  • Ensure the integration of Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies Services with Client Services Mass Care program initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies Services data, identify areas of need and/or improvement, and develop recommendations for service and program improvement.
  • Analyze Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies Services operating practices and recommend revisions to improve established procedures.
  • Upon DOCC activation, provide Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies Services program oversight and operational support at the direction of the National Assistant Director, Operations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Client Services Mass Care Section, National Command & General Staff, Community Operations, Systems & Data Operations, and Business Operations in the development of program strategies and initiatives as required.
  • In collaboration with the Mass Care Cadre Manager, provide support, development, and leadership guidance to Feeding & Distribution of Emergency Supplies responders.

Scope: Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in specific area. Ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects; adapt precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE (Qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience: N/a
  • Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating presentations and developing training modules.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements.
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: Travel may be required.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.**
