Senior Solutions Architect - Mobility & Endpoint Management

Overview

The Senior Solutions Architect - Mobility & Endpoint Management is responsible for defining and delivering the enterprise mobility strategy across Children's National. This role architects secure, scalable mobile and endpoint solutions that enable clinicians and staff to access critical systems seamlessly, supporting a mobile-first healthcare environment and modern care delivery models.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise architecture for mobility and endpoint management across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms. Design and govern MDM/EMM solutions (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE) including provisioning, compliance, and lifecycle management. Establish standards for mobile security, identity, access control, and device configuration in a regulated healthcare environment. Define mobile application strategy including deployment, distribution, and integration with enterprise platforms. Ensure seamless integration with EHR systems (Epic preferred) and other clinical applications. Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to align mobile solutions with care delivery workflows. Drive innovation by evaluating emerging mobile technologies to improve clinician efficiency and patient engagement. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and contribute to enterprise architecture governance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

8-12+ years of experience in enterprise mobility, endpoint management, or solution architecture
Deep expertise in MDM/EMM platforms such as Intune, Workspace ONE, or MobileIron
Strong knowledge of iOS and Android enterprise ecosystems
Experience integrating mobile solutions with enterprise and clinical systems
Understanding of healthcare security, compliance, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospital or healthcare environments
Familiarity with Epic mobile platforms (e.g., Haiku, Canto)
Experience supporting clinician-facing mobile workflows

Functional Accountabilities
Information & Data Architecture

  • Enforce enterprise information standards, guidelines, and principles.
  • Apply expertise regarding solutions information architecture.
  • Enforce data architecture standards, working with Business, Application, and Operations counterparts to assure data integrity and consistency.
  • Maintain documentation that maps data models to information systems and business applications.
  • Aid architects to validate and fix information management issues related to data quality framework (completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, consistency, etc.).
  • Manage data dictionary to improve documentation and coordination.
  • Participate in building enterprise architecture information blueprints and data models that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed in the enterprise.
  • Lead data architecture, data sourcing, data flow, and solution discussions for data initiatives.
  • Participate in enterprise information architecture discussions around needs and alignment to enterprise goals.
  • Collaborate on data-related business requirements and perform data architecture reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for healthcare technology solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary interface for requirements refinement.

Solution Design & Architecture Leadership

  • Enforce solution design by understanding opportunities and designing the best way to address them.
  • Develop and review high-level designs, ensuring scalability, security, interoperability, and compliance.
  • Assist in determining the best tool to solve each request.
  • Apply expertise in available solutions to choose the right one for every situation.
  • Architect robust solutions for patient care, data management, and operational workflows.

Strategic Alignment & Roadmap Development

  • Ensure solutions align with organizational goals and technology roadmaps.
  • Translate organizational objectives into actionable architectural plans.

Operational Excellence & Optimization

  • Oversee tools and processes to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements to optimize healthcare technology operations.

Innovation & Technology Advocacy

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging healthcare technologies.
  • Lead initiatives to introduce advanced solutions and future-proof the organization.

Mentorship & Team Leadership

  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Governance, Compliance & Security

  • Advocate for best practices in healthcare data security and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
