Job Summary The Manager, Procurement Shared Services leads the U.S. Operational Purchasing organization and serves as the primary steward of procurement process excellence, compliance, and service delivery across all operational procurement activities. This role oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for procurement administration, vendor onboarding, master data management, catalog and contract maintenance, end-user support, training, analytics, and reporting. The position ensures that all activities align with corporate procurement policies, global standards, and the strategic objectives of the Global Procurement function. The leader in this role drives the implementation of the global Target Operating Model within the U.S. organization, partnering closely with the Global Procurement Center of Excellence, Global Business Services, and local country procurement leads. This includes participating in fit-gap assessments, coordinating training and change-management efforts, supporting hyper-care and stabilization phases, and ensuring delivery of operational KPIs throughout the transition.

*This position requires working onsite in Melrose Park, IL 4+ days per week.

*Salary Range: $126,000-140,000
*Position is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary.
*Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop U.S. Operational Procurement teams (10+ employees), ensuring alignment with corporate procurement policies and industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and required skill sets to support procurement operations in a regulated pharmaceutical environment including planning with specific shift-rotation consideration including skill-set mapping.
  • Coach team leaders, establish performance goals, oversee skill development, and create individualized development plans.
  • Provide strategic oversight of end-to-end procurement operations, including vendor onboarding, vendor master data governance, catalog optimization, contract administration, and the delivery of high-quality end-user support and training.
  • Manage data analytics and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery of procurement KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent implementation and execution of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and provide clear, transparent reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete, up-to-date documentation of procurement processes and procedures in accordance with pharma compliance and audit requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external auditors regarding procurement-related processes.
  • Ensure compliance with external reporting and tax requirements; will act as a liaison with local company contacts regarding monthly closing procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Business Services (GBS) and Global Procurement Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement or supply chain, including at
    3+ in leadership or people-management role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement operations within a regulated environment.
  • Solid knowledge of P2P process interdependencies, including PR/PO management, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and Payments.
  • Working experience with SAP MM and FI modules, ARIBA, and ServiceNow or other service-
    management tools; familiarity with workflow solutions is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
