Position Summary

The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for researching, designing, and overseeing the development and maintenance of Human Resources information systems. This role serves as a key liaison between Human Resources, Information Services, Budget, and Payroll, ensuring systems effectively support HR programs and reporting needs. Will provide application design recommendations and support staff in developing automated solutions to enhance HR operations and data management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify system requirements; develop functional specifications and application designs.
  • Create and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet vendor requirements and internal HR data management needs.
  • Serve as Project Lead, developing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, meeting minutes, decisions, and timelines.
  • Maintain and oversee PeopleSoft security roles, permission lists, reporting trees, and workflow; partner with ISD on business process improvements.
  • Develop and produce required reports for state, federal, and healthcare industry agencies using various data management tools.
  • Collaborate with ISD, Payroll, Budget, and other stakeholders to maintain HRIS systems, including system updates, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Create and maintain internal databases and manage external vendor data systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree plus minimum of 5 years of experience supporting workforce management or HRIS applications.
  • Experience with Kronos (or similar workforce management systems).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems using technical, mathematical, and cross-functional knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft modules, including security and reporting structures.
  • Familiarity with information systems, including local area networks and system capabilities/trends.
  • Proficiency with PCs, operating systems, and common business applications; ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience training users on systems, applications, and processes.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
