POSITION SUMMARY


The Director of Market Strategy at Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) is responsible for effectively leading and developing strategy for the Underwriting and Sales functions. In conjunction with the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, this position sets pricing strategies for all GHC-SCW product lines. In addition, the position is responsible for aligning sales strategies with product pricing to achieve financially sustainable outcomes for the Cooperative. This position is essential for facilitating and sustaining process improvement that assures accuracy, standardization, fiscal responsibility and member satisfaction. The incumbent will drive business results for the Cooperative by aligning pricing strategy and sales development in a way that provides value to the members of GHC-SCW.

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or closely related field.
  2. Ten plus (10+) years of relevant experience in a health care and/or health insurance setting.
  3. Strong analytic and strategic thinking skill set.
  4. Demonstrated business acumen, including understanding of the health care landscape in Wisconsin.
  5. Training in continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
  6. Leadership and Ethics: Demonstrate GHC-SCW's Leadership AIMs-Accountability, Innovation, and Mentorship-by taking ownership of actions and outcomes, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, and guiding, empowering, and developing others to support individual and organizational success.

  9. Ability to travel to various work sites. Employee is expected to provide personal transportation. Possession of a valid, Wisconsin driver license if the employee is operating a motor vehicle.

  11. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  12. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality required. Knowledge of medical records and appropriate documentation requirements. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
  13. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
