Job Summary
The Electronic Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and supporting the production of electronic assemblies, including RF and circuit card components. This role involves setting up test equipment, analyzing performance, and performing component-level diagnostics to ensure product quality and functionality. The position works closely with engineering teams to support development, improve testing processes, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities
- Set up test apparatus and conduct testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies
- Perform component-level troubleshooting on analog, digital, and RF circuits using schematic diagrams
- Analyze test results and evaluate product performance and functionality
- Adjust, calibrate, and maintain electronic test equipment and systems
- Identify and correct malfunctions by repairing or replacing components
- Use measurement tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, and RF power meters
- Assist engineers in developing and improving test procedures for new and existing products
- Recommend product or process improvements based on test findings
- Document test results, maintenance actions, and findings using appropriate systems
- Support quality assurance processes, including statistical process controls
- Maintain productivity and meet production schedules in a dynamic environment
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies
- Strong ability to troubleshoot to the component level
- Proficiency working with solid state, digital, and RF circuits
- Experience using schematic diagrams to isolate and resolve issues
- Hands-on experience with flying probe or ICT testing required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry/documentation systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
Work Experience
- 1-3+ years of relevant electronics testing and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Experience with RF testing or radar systems preferred
