About the Role

At KARL STORZ, we are redefining what's possible in the operating room-and as a Product Deployment Specialist, you will play a critical role in bringing that vision to life. In this highly technical, field-based position, you'll install, configure, and deploy advanced audio-visual and network-integrated OR systems within hospitals across the U.S. and beyond.

Working alongside a skilled deployment team, you'll take a hands-on approach to building and implementing complex medical systems, ensuring every installation meets rigorous quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, travel-intensive environment and enjoys working with AV, cabling, and networked technologies in real-world healthcare settings.

Locations: DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlanta, Detroit
Travel: Up to 70-80% (Monday-Friday most weeks; occasional weekends)
Territory: U.S. with potential travel to Canada and Mexico

What You'll Do
  • Install and deploy integrated OR systems, including AV and network-based technologies, within hospital environments
  • Perform hands-on cabling, equipment mounting, termination, and system configuration according to standards
  • Collaborate with deployment teams and Site Leads to execute project plans and meet timelines and SLAs
  • Configure software and support system integration while ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety, and quality protocols
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, providing a professional experience in clinical settings
  • Utilize mobile tools and systems to document work, submit reports, and manage project-related activities
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of experience in AV, cabling, networking, medical devices, or related technical field roles
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with cable pulling/termination and AV or network-based systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and mobile tools/applications
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, professional approach
  • Ability to travel extensively and adapt to changing environments and priorities

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in hospital or integrated OR environments
  • Ability to perform fiber, coax, CAT5/6, or multi-conductor cable terminations
  • Experience mounting AV equipment and interpreting technical schematics
  • Familiarity with control systems, network devices, or video systems
What Will Make You Successful
  • Strong technical aptitude and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based deployment environments under tight timelines
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, travel-heavy roles
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
