Boart Longyear is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. This position will spend time in routine maintenance and emergency repairs, working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow them to effectively read documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints. Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues.

Working Hours: 6am - 4:30pm

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of mechanical experience
  • Schematics
  • Pneumatics
  • Hand Tools
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Electrical 480VAC to 12DC
  • Power Tools
  • Hydraulics systems
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Prefab
  • Welding
  • VFDs & PLC's is a Plus
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Responsibilities:
  • Work safely without presenting direct threat to self or others
  • Be self-motivated, and have a desire to become a team leader
  • Diagnose hydraulic problems in equipment and perform quick turnaround repair time
  • Have a high level of skill in the care and use of hand and power tools, at times to be manipulated in areas of limited space
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Communicate with supervisor and safety personnel with little to no supervision
  • Communicate with supervisor and safety personnel with little to no supervision
  • Schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures.
  • Perform general maintenance of the facility and grounds
  • Eager to learn
