We're seeking passionate Dining Services Attendant Senior to bring their skills to our dynamic team. As a Dining Services Attendant Senior, you will perform various duties necessary in the preparation or service of food. This is first in a series of four classifications and is distinguished from the Dining Service Attendant, Senior in that incumbents do not have lead responsibilities. This class typically reports to Dining Service Supervisor or Cook Lead. This position requires some evening, weekend and holiday work. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Inputs
& receives and puts away storeroom orders. - Prepares unit
for opening, stocking, signs, cleanliness, and equipment. - Sets up
Sequoia, retrieves banks, prepares market and food as needed. - Monitors food
quality and employee productivity. - Ensures all
areas are staffed and delegates job assignments. - Openly
communicates with staff and supervisor. - Completes
product orders as required. - Trains
employees in their job duties and health codes. - Actively
develops and supports a team-based focus within Student Union. - Rings up orders
accurately, accepts money and returns correct change. - Counts bank to
verify accuracy. - Enters totals
on reports as required. - Participates in
employee discipline and guidance - Oversees and
assists with weekly inventory. - Controls labor
and food costs. - Greets and
serves customers in a friendly courteous manner. - Provides
suggestions and input to the supervisor. - Actively solves
problems wherever possible. - Works
harmoniously with coworkers. - Additional
duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Food Pro and performs Forecasting, Service Needs and Modify Delivery Information.
- Knowledge of
food service operations, including sanitation standards and food preparation. - Knowledge of
and actively supports labor cost and food cost budgets. - Knowledge of
food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers, and fryers. - Ability to
communicate effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lifts, transfers or moves a maximum of 50lbs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is
required. - Five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of
education and work experience. - Must be able to work evenings, weekends,
holidays.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
