Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Success for the University Academic Affairs. The
AVP must possess the flexibility, agility, and executive presence necessary to support multiple institutional contexts and priorities across Rutgers. Consistent with the needs of a large multi-campus public research university, the
AVP may be deployed to provide interim leadership, strategic oversight, operational support, or project management assistance at a specific Rutgers campus or Chancellor-Led Unit as institutional priorities require.
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in strategic enrollment management, admissions operations, recruitment strategy, predictive analytics, financial aid leveraging, and enrollment technology systems. This role requires a collaborative and solutions-oriented leader capable of building strong relationships across academic affairs, student affairs, communications, financial aid, institutional research, and campus enrollment teams. This position represents a unique opportunity to help shape the future of enrollment management at one of the nation's premier public research universities while advancing Rutgers' mission of access, excellence, opportunity, and student success.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Partners with the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success to support the development and execution of a comprehensive university-wide enrollment management strategy.
- Assists in establishing undergraduate enrollment goals, recruitment strategies, and yield initiatives aligned with institutional priorities and campus-specific objectives.
- Supports Chancellor-Led Units in the development, execution, and assessment of strategic recruitment and admissions plans.
- Provides strategic guidance and operational support to campus enrollment leadership teams regarding recruitment, admissions operations, territory management, yield strategy, and enrollment forecasting.
- Serves as a key thought partner in advancing a coordinated and aligned enrollment management enterprise across Rutgers.
- Provides leadership and oversight for undergraduate recruitment and admissions initiatives designed to attract, admit, and enroll a talented and diverse student population.
- Develops and implements recruitment plans informed by predictive analytics, market analysis, and best practices.
- Ensures the optimization of recruitment territories, travel strategies, communication plans, and prospective student engagement efforts.
- Collaborates with campus admissions teams to strengthen application generation, application completion, yield conversion, and melt mitigation strategies.
- Collaborates on the implementation of data-driven recruitment initiatives that improve enrollment outcomes and market penetration.
- Fosters the development and execution of large-scale recruitment events, open houses, admitted student programs, counselor engagement initiatives, and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions, recruitment, or student success within higher education.
