Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Ability to read work instructions, production documents, and quality standards Basic math and measurement skills Experience Requirements Minimum 6 months of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working with production equipment and quality inspections Familiarity with production reporting and workplace safety procedures Preferred Qualifications Previous die casting, metal manufacturing, or foundry experience Experience using gauges, hand tools, and powered pallet jacks Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices Ability to identify quality concerns and production issues Physical Capabilities Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to safely move materials and operate production equipment Job Duties Operate, start up, and shut down die casting machines Perform visual and gauge-based quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met Trim cast parts using hand tools, wire wheels, and other equipment Maintain machine performance by cleaning equipment, preheating dies, replacing components, and supporting 5S standards Complete production reports, downtime tracking, and scrap documentation Monitor part flow, identify process abnormalities, and follow segregation procedures for nonconforming products Operate powered pallet jacks to move materials Follow all safety procedures, equipment checks, lockout/tagout requirements, and housekeeping standards Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
