Job Title: Material Handling Operator
Location: Alpharetta, GA.
Employment Type: Contract (12 months)
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $18.50 /hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. - (1 st shift)
About the Opportunity:
  • Material Technicians play a key role in receiving, storing, documenting, and delivering materials within the organization.
  • They fulfill orders for delivery to the plant assembly areas or for direct shipment to customers.
  • These activities also include shipping orders to customers.
  • Additionally, Material Technicians conduct cycle counts to maintain the accuracy of inventory counts and absolute values within the organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Tasks move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material, or equipment needs.
  • Maintain material storage areas to ensure inventory is protected and accurately reflects system quantities.
  • Process various materials movement transactions with an RF device.
  • Clean up working areas and inventory tools.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling operations.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Prior warehouse and forklift experience.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the related field of work.
