Short Description:
Systems Administrator supporting hybrid IT infrastructure. Administers Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, patch management, backups, and operational support across on-premises and cloud platforms. Supports system security, monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure reliability in a regulated enterprise environment.

Position Overview:
Seeking 2 Systems Administrators to support a secure, stable, and high-performing hybrid IT environment. This role is responsible for administering servers, identity systems, enterprise services, and operational infrastructure processes across on-premises and cloud platforms. The position works closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to maintain system reliability, compliance, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Administration

  • Administer Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and Entra ID/Azure AD.
  • Maintain system availability, performance, and configuration standards.

Patch Management & Vulnerability Remediation

  • Execute structured patching for servers and enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and system impact activities.
  • Support vulnerability remediation initiatives aligned with security priorities.
  • Validate patches prior to deployment and track compliance status.

Security & Compliance Support

  • Implement infrastructure security controls and standards.
  • Support identity and access management including MFA.
  • Assist with system hardening, logging, and monitoring integrations.
  • Support audit preparation and compliance activities.

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor infrastructure systems and respond to operational alerts.
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support.
  • Participate in incident response and escalation processes.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and service improvement initiatives.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Administer backup and recovery solutions.
  • Perform backup validation and restore testing.
  • Support recovery objectives including RTO/RPO requirements.

Change Management & Operations

  • Follow established change management procedures.
  • Execute infrastructure changes in a controlled environment.
  • Participate in CAB and operational governance processes.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Network Engineering on infrastructure dependencies.
  • Work with End User Services on user-impacting changes.
  • Support application and data teams with system integrations.
  • Communicate operational risks, issues, and system status updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience administering Windows Server environments.
  • Strong Active Directory and Group Policy administration skills.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Entra ID/Azure AD.
  • Experience with patch management and system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting government or regulated environments.
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure environments including Azure.
  • Familiarity with NIST or similar security frameworks.
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Exposure to monitoring, SIEM, or endpoint management tools.

  • Occasional after-hours support for maintenance or incident response.
  • Limited travel between office locations may be required.
