Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring all inventory is maintained accurately, and delivered to required areas in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities and Duties



  • Perform component and material movements both physically and systematically in a timely manner and in accordance to priority level.
  • Perform transaction requests made by Kit Assembly and Production Filling as described in approved official documents.
  • Place materials on hold.
  • Deliver production supplies and materials.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by identifying, labeling, and placing materials or supplies in stock; recording new location of inventory, if applicable.
  • Receive finished kits and components from Kit Assembly/Production Filling by verifying material number, lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • Assist in the coordination and flow of product through Production Filling and Kit Assembly.
  • Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and location of units both physically and systematically.
  • Deliver retains and QC test kits to appropriate locations.
  • Perform cycle counting of components and materials related to Kit Assembly and Production Filling as required.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Scrap inventoried products in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the organization, and general maintenance of the work area to assure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inventory work areas.
  • Requisition supplies as needed to perform job functions on a timely basis.
  • Perform work in a safe manner consistent with DiaSorin's health, safety, and environmental policies and assume responsibility for personal safety and that of co-workers to result in a safe work environment for all employees and the protection of the environment and the community at large.
  • Follow DiaSorin's established procedures for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous, radioactive, and infectious material.
  • Participate in DiaSorin's safety training programs and demonstrate competency in the use of Material Safety Data Sheets, chemical labeling, corporate emergency response procedures, and DiaSorin's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Be aware of and understand the hazards specific to your work area and follow appropriate safety precautions necessary to control them.
  • Participate in training processes that are designed to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of delivering results consistent with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of internal training programs.
  • Formally and informally lead training of others in areas of competencies where appropriate.
  • Participate in formal and informal training required to increase skills to meet work expectations.
  • Understand and utilize documentation protocols and accurately and legibly complete all documentation on time to result in a product/process history consistent with GMP requirements.
  • Understand the appropriate Universal Operating Procedures (UOP's) pertaining to the work to be performed.
  • Review, understand, and accurately complete in a timely fashion, all documents such as procedures, forms, worksheets, and notebooks.
  • Route, handle, and/or store completed documentation appropriate for the work completed.
  • Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Nonconformance Reports (NCR) and Deviations, as applicable.
  • Follow DiaSorin's established compliance procedures designed to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met. Activities may include audits, documentation, and the understanding of requirements of agencies such as OSHA, EPA, NRC, and FDA.
  • Have full knowledge of the NCR process. Have the ability to create and manage all NCR's assigned.



Additional Duties and Responsibilities



  • The ability to investigate and reconcile cost center charges.
  • Other operational duties may be assigned based on department or company business needs and as workload volumes dictate.
  • Ability to work in temperature regulated conditions for long periods of time.
  • Communicate effectively in a cooperative and professional manner.
  • Exceptional teamwork with the ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in current GMP.
  • Organization/ scheduling.
  • Time management in line with competing priorities.
  • Deadline-oriented in line with fast paced work environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Active use of GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
  • Ability to perform research and data collection and report this information accurately and effectively.



Education Qualifications



  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of previous material handling experience required



Training and Skills



  • Intermediate knowledge and use of an ERP management software; SAP preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of materials management systems (MRP, WM)..
  • Computer procComputer proficiency.
  • Mathematical Skills, Analytical Capability, and Ability to grasp complex concepts
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience with pallet jack and forklift preferred

The hourly posting for this position is $20.00-$25.00 Hourly. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. Beyond base salary, Diasorin offers a competitive rewards package focused on your overall well-being.
