Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Pay Rate: $21.39 / Hour

Schedules:

• Friday to Tuesday 2200 - 0600
• Thursday to Saturday 2200 - 0600
• Monday and Tuesday 1400-2200, Wednesday 2200 - 0600, Saturday and Sunday 0600 - 1400

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, while assisting with directions, visitor inquiries, and general support needs.
• Support hospital and clinic operations by communicating with site contacts, observing for unsecured areas or suspicious behavior, and following post orders for routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
