Your Job

Molex is seeking an Engineer, Regulatory Agency to lead product safety certification and agency compliance activities across Industrial Solutions Business Unit product lines. This role will own UL submissions, coordinate with UL and other certification bodies, and guide teams through agency requirements to achieve timely product approvals for new and sustaining products.

We seek someone with experience navigating regulatory and agency requirements for industrial products, including UL, CSA, IEC, EIA, ASTM, and NEMA standards. The ideal candidate understands applicable test requirements across ISBU products, works effectively with internal engineering teams and outside labs, and builds strong relationships with certification agencies and specialized industrial test laboratories.

What You Will Do

* Lead all UL submission activities for assigned ISBU products, including certification strategy, application preparation, documentation packages, follow-up actions, and closure of certification findings.

* Serve as the primary technical interface with UL, CSA, and other regulatory or certification agencies to obtain, maintain, and update product approvals and listings.

* Interpret and apply agency, industry, and product standards including EIA, IEC, ASTM, UL, CSA, and NEMA, and translate requirements into clear design, documentation, and validation expectations for engineering teams.

* Define and communicate applicable test requirements across ISBU product lines, ensuring compliance needs are identified early in development and addressed through appropriate validation plans.

* Partner with product development, quality, manufacturing, and lab teams to ensure designs, materials, components, and changes align with applicable agency and standards requirements.

* Coordinate testing with internal labs and outside test laboratories, including scheduling, sample readiness, documentation support, and resolution of test issues or nonconformances.

* Build and maintain strong working relationships with outside labs that specialize in industrial industry standards and test methods to improve responsiveness, technical alignment, and certification efficiency.

* Review design changes, component substitutions, and sustaining product updates for impact to existing certifications, and drive actions needed to preserve compliance and continuity of supply.

* Develop compliance guidance, training materials, and best practices that help internal teams understand regulatory expectations, certification pathways, and product safety requirements.

* Monitor changes to applicable standards and certification requirements, assess business impact, and proactively recommend actions to maintain compliant product offerings.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline

* 3+ years of experience in product regulatory compliance, agency certification, or product safety engineering

* Demonstrated experience managing UL submissions, CSA certifications, and third-party lab testing activities

* Ability to interpret standards and test requirements and convert them into actionable engineering requirements, test plans, and compliance documentation.

* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple certification activities, timelines, and external dependencies.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with engineering teams, agency representatives, and external test labs.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and technical documentation systems; experience with PLM or document control systems is preferred.

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience coordinating with outside laboratories, certification bodies, and internal cross-functional teams to plan and execute testing programs.

* Knowledge of industrial product construction, materials, documentation, and change control as they relate to ongoing regulatory compliance.

* Strong working knowledge of EIA, IEC, ASTM, UL, CSA, NEMA, and related industrial product standards and certification frameworks. Nice to have - UL, CSA or NEMA.


For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
