Job Description




As a Security Officer - Checkpoint Patrol in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location in an access control role, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and strong communication. This is a driving post where you may operate a vehicle as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor and contractor entry in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and public personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting access concerns, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations that could help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support screening and entry procedures for employees, visitors, and deliveries, and prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or access-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
