About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Logistics Lead to help drive daily operations across our distribution center. In this role, you'll lead and support teams across receiving, shipping, inventory, and fulfillment-ensuring work flows efficiently and problems are solved quickly. You'll act as a key partner to leadership, mentor team members, and help improve processes using continuous improvement practices.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and delegate daily work across warehouse functions (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, etc.)
- Support team members with troubleshooting and operational guidance
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management
- Train and mentor employees; act as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Rotate staff across functions based on business needs
- Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and internal tools to manage workflows
- Identify process improvements and support Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a safe, clean, and productive work environment
- Provide feedback to leadership on team performance
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years (internal) or 5+ years (external) in a high-volume warehouse/logistics environment
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or work order flow
- Lead or team coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with WMS (SAP or similar) and standard operating procedures
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
Work Environment
- Distribution center setting with varying temperatures, noise levels, and conditions
- Occasional overtime or non-standard hours as needed
