What to Expect

Tesla's Gigafactory Nevada Workplace team has an opening for a Workplace Design Specialist to support site priority projects. This is an opportunity to gain experience on a range of projects while working alongside highly skilled Architects and Project Managers.

What You'll Do
  • Independently manage small to medium projects and support large projects with budgets up to $30 million dollars
  • Provide architectural and interior designs in conjunction with site planning teams
  • Provide space plans, test fits, design solutions and details, using AutoCAD and 2D/3D drawings
  • Develop FF&E catalogs for current and future-state builds
  • Electronically archive as-built drawings for each project and ensure database remains organized and updated
  • Manage external Architecture and Engineering consultants and vendors
  • Collaborate with internal construction managers and provide additional design support throughout construction phase

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, or Interior Design, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Architecture or Workplace Interiors field
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations (including the ADA) and applicable building code requirements
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while meeting aggressive time frames
  • Availability to travel occasionally to other Workplace locations around the world
