Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Response in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech location as an unarmed driving patrol officer, helping to monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, visible presence, and access-focused support. In this role, you will assist with security-related concerns, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver strong customer service. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and support access control procedures for restricted and high-traffic areas.
  • Assist with incident response, evacuation support, and routine inspections of assigned areas, while communicating clearly with team members and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
