Compensation $27.49 per hour Job Summary The Flagger/Reclamation Spotter will be responsible for providing support and coordination of customer and trucking activities at the URP Reclamation Site as well as remote mine operations. The Flagger/Spotter position sets up traffic control and then assists contract haulers from exiting the mine/ reclamation sites. The spotter position assists customer trucks to ensure they unload soils in the correct location at the mine/ reclamation site. This position may also be required to manually pick up debris found in truck loads to ensure quality of the mine/ reclamation activities. The Flagger/Spotter will also use monitoring equipment to confirm environmental compliance of import loads. This position also requires housekeeping and site cleanup as directed by Foreman and/or Site Management. Main Responsibilities Assist crew with clean up and housekeeping around sites Complete needed site and area inspections Guide customer trucks to proper dump areas at Reclamation Sites Guide haulers out of mine site by flagging public traffic Monitor reclamation customer and contract hauler loads and remove debris (asphalt, trash, wood, etc) Set up traffic control Using environmental monitors to check loads as directed by Foreman and/or Site Manager Other duties as outlined by Foreman and/or Site Manager Education and/or Work Experience Previous Flagger training preferred Complete Flagger Certification and MSHA Training Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive company vehicle Skills Ability to understand and follow Company Handbook and Safety Policies Ability to work well with others Must be able to follow oral and written plans and directions Must have a strong mechanical aptitude Must have a strong, team-oriented work ethic with strong focus on safety and environmental compliance Understands MSHA and OSHA regulations Physical Requirements Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
