Job Summary

Receives the tender documentation, analyzes the file and the customer's requirements, carries out the studies and finds the technical, economic and financial solutions best suited to the project until the tender is submitted.

Main Responsibilities
  • Studies the documents of the tender or of the customer's request
  • Analyzes the project: technical validity, proposal of variants, assessment of risks and opportunities
  • Controls the plans and ensures the taking of measurements by learning about the land and its characteristics, calculates the cubic volumes and the measurements, etc.
  • Consults suppliers and sub-contractors in search of the best services and prices
  • Assesses the project: prepares price sub-details and sets the sales price in collaboration with his/her hierarchy
  • Prepares and drafts the technical file of the response to a call for tenders (technical brief, schedule, etc.)
  • Follows the tender documentation until its awarding: sales relationship with the customer and/or his/her representatives
  • Organizes the submission of the offer to the customer in compliance with the deadlines and the imposed formalism
  • Coordinates relations with support services (technical, legal, insurance, etc.) and Operations upstream, during and downstream of the job to capitalize on feedback.
  • Possibly supervises price study technicians, heads of technical research
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand and walk on construction sites for 6-10 hours per day.
  • Frequently required to climb ladders, scaffolding, and access uneven terrain, stairs, and roofs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to inspect work areas and take measurements.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance as needed).
  • Able to reach overhead and work at varying heights and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Good balance and coordination to safely navigate active job sites and construction zones.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read blueprints, tape measures, plans, and small print in varying light conditions; ability to distinguish colors and depth.
  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with team members and respond to site equipment and safety signals.
  • Able to tolerate outdoor working conditions including heat, humidity, rain, wind, and sun exposure common to coastal Georgia.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and near heavy equipment, with ability to follow PPE and safety protocols at all times.
  • Must be able to travel routinely to multiple job sites around the Brunswick/Golden Isles area and work flexible hours when required.
