CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a CEI Section Manager to join our Construction Inspection Team in Columbia, SC, where you'll oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll provide leadership across project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure construction activities align with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and project objectives-supporting the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.



What You'll Do:

    Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to transportation construction inspection initiatives, including highways, roadways, and bridge improvements, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and governing standards
  • Collaborate with transportation team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
  • Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical construction inspection initiatives
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years of industry experience required; minimum of 4 years of project management experience required
  • Previous project or team management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, understanding contract requirements, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, project financial management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel as needed and work collaboratively with technical teams
  • Consulting experience highly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
  • Ability to demonstrate technical proficiency and manage relationships across the company
  • PMP, PE or equivalent professional license preferred

Salary Range:

$125,000 - $150,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
