The University of Virginia's Division of Student Affairs invites applications for a Program Coordinator for Student Engagement. The University's mission to develop engaged citizen-leaders is the foundation of the Division's work, which is guided by six core values - academic rigor, health and wellness, honor, public service, and student self-governance. The Division of Student Affairs consists of over 200 employees including: Office of the Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer; Student Health and Wellness; the University Career Center; Housing and Residence Life; Office of African American Affairs; and several units reporting to the Dean of Students - all working together, for and alongside students, to create the distinctive student experience for which UVA is known. The Program Coordinator for Student Engagement serves on the team supporting students at the University of Virginia by promoting holistic leadership development, connecting students to resources, cultivating their passions, and building community. The Program Coordinator will manage the Student Engagement Marketing operations, and plan and execute programming across Grounds, particularly at Newcomb Info Desk and the Student Engagement Center. The Program Coordinator will also support the daily operations of Newcomb Hall by overseeing the Newcomb Hall Info Desk. The Program Coordinator in Student Engagement is considered part of the Event Staff team, which includes Event Management, Student Engagement, Newcomb Hall Info Desk, Newcomb Hall Service Desk, A/V services, and 1515 Student Center. The Program Coordinator will work mostly with the Event Staff team and units across the Division of Student Affairs to fulfill their duties. About the Position This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job will occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs. This position cannot sponsor cases for immigration now or in the future. This position is in person on the UVA Grounds in Charlottesville, VA. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
