Summary/objective The Terminal Generalist Supervisor performs all functions of a Terminal Generalist. This position reports to the Director of Operations all operational matters including cargo resolution, facility maintenance, and regulatory compliance. This individual ensures the development and training of the Terminal Generalist supports the needs of the company. This individual employs a continuous improvement mindset and monitors processes to achieve superior operational excellence. Essential functions

Work environment This position is primarily based in an office environment located at a marine terminal/port facility. The employee performs the majority of their work indoors, using standard office equipment and computer systems. Periodically, the employee is required to work outdoors within the terminal to support customers, truck drivers, vessel operations, and cargo activities. Outdoor work may involve walking throughout the terminal, accessing operational areas, and communicating with personnel in an active industrial environment. The employee must be able to work safely in varying weather conditions and around moving equipment, trucks, containers, and heavy machinery. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while in operational areas of the terminal in accordance with company and port safety policies. Physical demands Office Demands Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Most work requires normal physical effort. Requires moderate use of personal computer (word processing and spreadsheets) for compiling reports, statistical data, composing memoranda and other similar documents. Requires occasional operation of company vehicles within the terminal to support operational activities.
