**About the Role**

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to step into a pivotal role, supporting the strategic planning and execution of merchandise procurement. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on manipulating numbers, creating insightful reports, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to optimize inventory and profitability. You will be instrumental in developing and analyzing business reports, providing the data-driven insights needed to make informed merchandising decisions and contribute directly to the financial success of our diverse product lines.

**What You'll Do**

* Develop and deliver routine and non-routine business reports, leveraging data from various systems to drive analysis focused on key performance indicator metrics such as sales trends, cost of goods sold (COGS), margin, and inventory.

* Assist in the development of strategic merchandise plans, focusing on sales margin, inventory, and turn.

* Partner with planning teams to identify and address key business concepts and opportunities.

* Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional partners and operational teams.

* Support the department in planning merchandise purchase orders, managing the financial aspects of ordering items for various operational areas.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively with various data systems and analytical tools.

* Proficiency in spreadsheet software, particularly for creating and manipulating reports.

* Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

* 1-2 years of relevant experience.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

* Detail-oriented and thorough approach to tasks.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**

* Experience in top-down and bottom-up financial planning processes and systems.

* Clear understanding of basic financial measures, including sales, gross margins, and weeks of supply.

* Preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Merchandise Planning, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
