Researcher (Casual)

This Research Assistant (RA) position is supervised by Dr. Kate Derickson for the research study, "The Social and Environmental impacts of Tear Gas Use" in the Department of Geography, Environment and Society, College of Liberal Arts.

As part of this RA-ship the casual employee will contribute to the following research tasks:

• Attending meetings with faculty supervisor to discuss project timelines, progress and learn analysis strategies
• Support soil sample collection and analysis
• Develop online websites, printed materials, and infographics sharing findings from the research
• Compile relevant literature to contextualize findings
• Conduct qualitative data coding to support research and analysis

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Background / Studies in Urban Studies, Geography, and / or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Urban Studies, Geography, and / or related field.

Pay Range: $16.00/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
