DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports safe and efficient transportation operations by performing skilled construction and maintenance tasks. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Planning Tasks: Review project needs, determine materials, and prepare for construction work
- Construction Skills: Measure, cut, and place materials for carpentry and concrete projects
- Tool Operation: Select and operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Safety Practices: Follow safety procedures, observe hazards, and report concerns promptly
- Environmental Care: Carry out assigned environmental protection responsibilities in maintenance activities
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours may vary for winter operations.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
