This Defect Technician will evaluate and disposition problem product lots and investigate corrective actions. If you have an interest in supporting continuous improvement projects, this job is for you!

Responsibilities:



  • Reject Validation for visual mechanical defects on package units and equipment sustaining and programming (recipe writing) tasks across a fleet of Defect metrology tools.
  • Evaluate / disposition problem product lots that fail defect inspection.
  • Image defects using scanning electron microscope (SEM) to characterize observed defects.
  • Instigate and participate in scrapped product corrective action procedures.
  • Assist the Engineering leads in equipment restriction and qualification tasks.
  • Assist in creating defect inspection tool recipes.
  • General operation of semiconductor defect metrology tools: SEM/AIT/KLA/SP1/EV300/1X .
  • Respond to tool issues / basic troubleshooting.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a production technician or equivalent post-secondary degree/applicable experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity suite software.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking.
  • Requires the willingness and desire to learn and grow.

    • Repetitively lift up to 12 pounds.
    • Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate, Technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of semiconductor metrology experience
  • Laboratory experience in a manufacturing setting


U.S. Citizen Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

The hourly range for this role is $24.38 - $36.57 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
