Kraton Polymers, located in Belpre, OH is seeking experienced Maintenance Instrument Electrician (IE). This position requires a candidate that is able to thrive in a challenging chemical plant environment and is looking to advance and grow with our Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance on process and production equipment throughout the facility. The Instrument Electrician (IE) Technician is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and/or replacing the physical equipment in the plant, correctly, and efficiently. IE Technicians install, troubleshoot, service and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment. They also, install, service, test and calibrate various other electronic equipment.



This job is on a 12 hour rotating shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requires installation, repair and maintenance of all instrumentation &equipment used in process controls, analyzing systems, valves/actuators, andelectrical systems
  • Dismantles, cleans, replaces parts, assembles and calibrates pneumatic and electronic instruments
  • Determines causes for malfunctioning instruments and takes appropriate action to correct trouble
  • Reads and interprets electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID and loop drawings
  • Performs preventive maintenance on instrumentation & equipment
  • Working as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently andmaintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping and continuous improvementprocesses
  • Ensuring safety devices function properly on completion of repairs,modifications and installations
  • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation using SAP.
  • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery
  • Conduct work in a safe manner including safe operation of machinery and equipment
  • Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Education, Certifications & Licenses

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance - chemical plant preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
