Another Source's client, UNC Charlotte, is recruiting a Campus Land Planner to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a hybrid opportunity, with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week with supervisor approval.

About this role:

UNC Charlotte is seeking a Campus Land Planner to help shape the physical future of one of the Southeast's fastest-growing public universities. Reporting within the Planning, Design, and Construction department, this role serves as a key advisor on campus planning initiatives, guiding land use decisions, campus development, and landscape planning that align with the university's long-term strategic vision.

You'll collaborate with colleagues across Facilities Management-including Grounds, Engineering, Sustainability, Maintenance Operations, and Planning-as well as university leadership and external design consultants to guide projects from early planning through implementation. This is an opportunity to influence everything from campus master planning and feasibility studies to outdoor spaces and future development, ensuring the campus continues to grow in thoughtful, sustainable, and innovative ways.

Experience You Will Bring

    Bachelor's degree in planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in campus planning, land planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience coordinating planning, design, or construction projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of land use planning, site development, and campus or institutional planning principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate planning concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in planning, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible planning or design experience.
  • Experience developing campus master plans, landscape master plans, or institutional planning initiatives.
  • Experience working within higher education, public sector, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Licensed, or the ability to obtain licensure, to practice landscape architecture through the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects.

What's in it for you:

The anticipated salary for this position is $79,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Relocation package as needed.
