We are currently hiring an SWD Operator/Technician to work at ourBuchanan Landfill Facility in Midland, TX. In this job, you will be working outside in all weather conditions.This is a local job with no travel and no per diem.We offer family benefits, 401k, and paid vacation.

Pay Range: $19-$21/hr.

Schedule:

  • Night Shift position working a 7 Days On 7 Days Off Schedule. (Thursday - Wednesday)

  • The working hours are 7 pm to 7 am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary job is to wash the inside of vacuum trucks

  • Occasional labor work with shovel and picks up trash around facility

  • Occasional housekeeping around facility (painting/ lawn work)

  • Willing to learn how to operate equipment and weld poly pipe

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain salt water disposal systems including pumps, valves, tanks, and injection wells

  • Monitor process levels, pressures, temperatures, and flows, making adjustments to optimize system performance

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on SWD equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, volumes, and system readings

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed

  • Use and maintain required PPE in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Work effectively as part of a team and support other operations as needed

  • Safely work in varying outdoor weather conditions

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with SWD Operations is preferred!

  • Experience with centrifuges or thermal treatment systems is a plus (training available)

  • Ability to learn and operate site-specific equipment independently

  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
