Network Engineer Sr Job Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for design and standards required for installation/configuration, operation and support of systems hardware and software related data communications infrastructure. Tasks will be focused on advanced design, implementation, maintaining high availability, performance, and security of data communications systems that are located throughout the enterprise.
  • Completes network documentation for all planned infrastructure systems & system software implementations & upgrades, including overall work-plans, test plans, implementation schedules & backout/recovery plans & evidenced by a minimal number of problems or "backouts" associated with an implementation, modification or upgrade.
  • Provides expertise and guidance to groups across the enterprise in the design and support of architecture and infrastructure solutions for business applications.
  • Resolves problems effectively and efficiently, taking accountability and involving other departments and disciplines as appropriate and documenting measures taken. Escalates any issues appropriately when necessary. Effectively communicates problems and resolution statuses to all necessary stakeholders, including internal and external customers as appropriate. Proactively identifies and implements successful preventive measures including ensuring that possible capacity issues are identified and communicated with sufficient lead time to avoid business impact or disruption.
  • Evaluates new technologies to solve key requirements and problems, perform proof of concepts, and provide architecture proposals.
  • Efficiently and effectively communicates and follows up in a positive and meaningful manner with stakeholders on (1) the status on problems and projects, (2) proper procedures for system evaluations, (3) current task and project priorities and (4) alternatives to requests for services that do not meet standards.
  • Serves as a lead and expert and is accountable to team and stakeholders during emergency situations.
  • Acts as a technical point of contact during Business/Disaster Recovery planning and preparedness efforts by participating in meetings, developing and documenting plans/procedures as well as participating in tests for responsible systems.



Minimum Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of relevant experience
  • Experience: 8 years enterprise networking

    • Deep Aruba CX, Wireless, ClearPass experience
    • Strong routing (OSPF/BGP) and segmentation
    • Cloud connectivity experience (Azure)
