As a Security Officer Building Patrol in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will respond to security-related concerns, complete routine rounds, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production and/or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with location guidelines.
• Observe site operations for potential hazards, equipment concerns, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate findings to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
