As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Post in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members while bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a people-first mindset, and integrity through teamwork every day.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted behavior through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Assist with access control, crowd flow, and customer interactions during busy store hours, special events, and/or deliveries while supporting location rules and daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
