Full-Time | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

$20.00-$28.00 per hour. Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, treatment areas, and physician offices.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other clinical information.
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits, treatments, and procedures.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures as requested.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by a physician or RN.
  • Maintain exam room stocking, supply inventory, and infection control protocols.
  • Obtain and organize medical records needed for patient visits and treatments.
  • Answer patient phone calls and route clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Call in prescriptions and communicate with patients as directed by providers or nursing staff.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including chart preparation, faxing, filing, and other office duties.
  • Support multiple departments throughout the practice based on operational needs.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
  • This is an entry level position requiring 0-3 years' experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
  • Current BCLS certification is required within 3 months of hire.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
