PRIMARY FUNCTION: ChristianaCare is hiring a Chaplain III to provide pastoral care to patients/families and staff of Christiana Care. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
DIRECTION RECEIVED: Direct supervision from manager of department. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BA or BS degree or equivalent M.Div. or equivalent 1 - 3 years as hospital chaplain SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ordination: Ability to be ordained/equivalent within first two years of employment As established by faith group Maintenance of good standing Endorsement: Faith group formal recognition as chaplain Maintain endorsement Certification: Board Certified Chaplain (or ability to be board certified within a year of hire) Maintain above certifications PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (see Physical Demands Checklist attached) Varying degrees of physical effort requiring standing, walking, and sitting. WORKING CONDITIONS: Limited exposure to patient body fluids/contamination, even when complying with hospital designated precautions. Psychological stress related to emotional and physical suffering of others. Annual Compensation Range $56,804.80 - $85,196.80 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
