Job Profile Summary
Summary Responsible for the delivery of Urology / Surgery services by preparing equipment, assisting in patient preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Assist healthcare teams in providing direct patient care during urology / surgery procedures. -Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning, draping, and emotional support. -Set up and prepare urology / surgery equipment and instruments required for procedures. -Ensure that all equipment is clean, sterilized, and in proper working condition. -Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on equipment as required. -Adhere to strict sterile techniques and infection control protocols during urology / surgery procedures. -Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sterilizing instruments, preparing sterile trays, and properly disposing of contaminated items. -Follow established infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Urology and/or surgery procedure experience 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of urology/ surgery procedures, instruments, and equipment commonly used in urology/surgery practices. - Understanding of sterile techniques, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks effectively. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members. - Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and demonstrate empathy towards patients.
