Our team in Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Logistics Technician II tosupport ourMaterials Department. You will report to ourInventory Control, Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for a Logistics Technician II,here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

• Strong interpersonal and team-based skills are required.

• 1 year or more experience inLogistics field

• Experience inaerospace industry

• Proficient using MS Office Suite, MBS, and other Moog software systems

As a Logistics Technician, you will:

• Recognize and follow various Logistics processes.

• Read and interpret team performance metrics

• Perform activities to accomplish daily priorities within operating group structure.

• Set a good example by displaying a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Interact with tact & diplomacy.

• Understand and support team and company initiatives.

• Participate in process improvements.

OVERVIEW:

Perform various physical and transactional process based operations supporting production. These processes include (but are not limited to):

* Material Delivery
* Kit Pull
* Material Stocking
* Receiving
* Packaging
* Shipping
* Inventory Management

You will be required to develop working knowledge of several software applications including (but not limited to):
* internal business systems
* third party shipping portals
* customer shipping portals
* transportation management systems

You may be required to utilize various equipment such as:
* manual and motorized pallet jacks
* pallet lifters
* fork trucks
* power and hand tools
* engravers
* motor vehicles
* other devices as defined by the BU

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Operating within the guidelines defined by the business unit model, the incumbent performs at various levels of responsibility and accountability within the following performance categories:

Logistics:Perform various physical and transactional process-based operations supporting production, repair, development and non-production (MRO) requirements of the business. These processes include (but are not limited to)

• Material Delivery

• Kit Pull

• Floor Stock Replenishment

• Material Stocking

• Receiving

• Packaging

• Shipping

• Driving / Transportation

• ESD (Electro-Static Discharge)

• Inventory Management

The purpose of the requisition is to convert Moog contractor to full time, we welcome other applicants.
