JOB SUMMARY

Complete deliverables for a project with the state of Missouri Hydrology center grant and SLU.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Literature Review of academic research on data centers
  • Summarize and assess public policy and governance documents
  • Attend in person or online community or government events or webinars; take ethnographic notes, summarize notes
  • Assist with creating surveys for research and conducting surveys
  • Make specific assessments and comparisons with impacts in other Mississippi River states and states neighboring Missouri
  • Assist in writing reports or journal articles; presentations at conferences, or other public facing reports and data dissemination
  • Ability to write summarizing reports of work completed on regular basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to use google scholar and SLU library to find academic peer reviewed articles.
  • Ability to attend meetings online or virtually and take detailed ethnographic notes.
  • Ability to summarize, assess, and critically engage with the materials.
  • Must be culturally sensitive and give importance to cultural integrity and reserve judgement that may differ from their own perspectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of social science research methods

This position is being funded by a grant, therefore continuation in this position is contingent upon funding availability and anticipated to end on September 30, 2026.
