JOB STATUS:Full-time

SALARY RANGE: $105k - $110k

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an experiencedMid-Level Contracts Representative. The Mid-Level Contract Representative independently administers government prime contracts and subcontracts of routine to moderate complexity, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The role exercises sound judgment in daily contract execution, supports proposal and negotiation activities, identifies contractual risks, and escalates complex matters as appropriate. The position utilizes enterprise CLM and approved AI tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant contracts administration experience; OR
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in contracts administration in lieu of a degree.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek Costpoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, and applicable agency supplements, with the ability to independently apply regulatory requirements in routine to moderately complex contracting matters.
  • Experience with review, negotiation and administration of federal contract types such as CPFF, CPAF, FFP, and T&M.

Contract Administration & Compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve routine to moderately complex contractual issues, exercising sound judgment and escalating high-risk or novel matters to senior contracts leadership when appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of federal government contracting practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting negotiation and administration of Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and subcontract agreements.
  • Experience with proposals, negotiations and administration for Other Transaction Agreements and Commercial Solutions Openings

Collaboration & Professional Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must be within commuting distance of Washington, DC, or Huntsville, AL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience with Contracts Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools
  • NCMA certification (CPCM, CCCM, or CFCM) preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently administer prime contracts and subcontracts of routine to moderate complexity from award through closeout, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Support the proposal lifecycle by reviewing solicitations, assisting with preparation of contractual volumes, representations and certifications, and participating in color team reviews to ensure compliance and identify contractual risks.
  • Serve as a contractual point of contact for Government Contracting Officers, CORs, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders; escalate complex or high-risk matters to senior contracts leadership as needed.
  • Provide contractual guidance to Program Managers regarding contract interpretation, funding, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance by tracking funding, cost, deliverables, and key milestones; Proactively identify contractual, funding, and compliance risks within assigned contracts and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders, escalating complex or high-risk matters as needed.
  • Lead negotiation of routine contract modifications and support negotiation of more complex terms and conditions under the guidance of senior contracts personnel when required.
  • Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements in daily contract administration activities.
  • Draft and coordinate contractual correspondence for internal and external distribution.
  • Maintain contract files in accordance with company procedures and support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to a collaborative contracts team environment and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Utilize Icertis CLM and AI-assisted tools in daily contract administration activities to improve efficiency, contract record accuracy, and review cycle time while adhering to security and compliance requirements.
