Construction Field Coordinator
Position Summary

The Construction Field Coordinator is an on-site owner-representative responsible for coordinating piping installation and system turnover activities in an operating industrial facility. This role works with contractors, inspectors, engineering, operations, and project controls to support installation, testing, punch resolution, documentation, and final handoff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate piping installation, fit-up, support installation, testing readiness, reinstatement, and turnover activities.
  • Act as the primary field contact for contractors performing piping and system completion work.
  • Verify work meets drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, work packages, specifications, and code requirements.
  • Support inspections, quality hold points, NDE, testing, punch closure, redlines, and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, inspection, engineering, and field teams on tie-ins, shutdowns, and live-unit work.
  • Track field issues, schedule impacts, and completion activities through mechanical completion and handoff.
  • Promote HSSE compliance, participate in pre-task planning, and address unsafe work conditions.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of industrial construction experience with piping installation, testing, system completion, or turnover.
  • Experience coordinating process or utility piping work in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, terminal, pipeline, or gas processing facilities.
  • Knowledge of piping drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, test packs, turnover packages, and field completion documentation.
  • Experience with piping system design and evaluation in accordance with ASME B31.3 and B31.4.
  • Brownfield experience with live-unit work, outages, tie-ins, or turnover execution.
  • Experience with hydrotesting, pressure testing, reinstatement, line walks, and mechanical completion.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with contractors, inspectors, engineering, and operations teams in an owner-representative role.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous owner-representative, EPC, or industrial facility field experience.
