Application Window Open date: July 10, 2026 Next review date: Saturday, Jul 25, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Jan 10, 2028 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Junior Specialist - Orthopaedic Trauma Research The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Junior Specialist to support research activities within the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute (OTI) under the direction of Dr. Theodore Miclau and Dr. Madeline MacKechnie. The Junior Specialist will contribute to clinical research projects focused on orthopaedic trauma, fracture healing, musculoskeletal injury, outcomes research, and related areas of orthopaedic surgery, including global orthopaedic surgery. Responsibilities may include coordinating research studies, recruiting and screening participants, collecting and managing research data, maintaining regulatory documentation, conducting literature reviews, assisting with statistical analyses, preparing abstracts and manuscripts, and supporting presentations for scientific meetings. The Specialist will work closely with faculty investigators, research staff, trainees, and collaborators across UCSF and affiliated institutions. Basic Qualifications
