Job Description
Job Purpose: Support the design, implementation, configuration, and deployment of technology infrastructure solutions, with primary emphasis on enterprise network field engineering, routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and security edge technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Work with senior architects, project managers, and customers to understand project scope, network diagrams, implementation tasks, and customer requirements. -
- Configure, install, test, and troubleshoot network equipment and services under light direction, with emphasis on Arista platforms, SD-WAN / VeloCloud, Cisco, Palo Alto, routing, switching, and wireless.
- Support field installation activities, equipment staging, site readiness checks, cutover preparation, migration tasks, and post-cutover service validation.
- Update and author implementation documentation, as-built diagrams, configuration notes, test results, and handoff information for operational support teams.
- Provide technical feedback to senior architects, project teams, and operations based on implementation experience and customer environment findings.
Education:
- Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Relevant Work Experience:
- 5 to 7 years in related field
- Proven results-based work experience in network engineering, field installation, technical implementation, or equivalent / related technical field.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong hands-on route / switch experience, including VLANs, Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, IP addressing, access control lists, and network troubleshooting.
- Field installation experience with enterprise network equipment, including staging, rack / stack support, cabling coordination, configuration loading, testing, and turn-up validation.
- Working experience with Arista, SD-WAN / VeloCloud, Cisco, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Wireless implementation and troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to read network diagrams, scopes of work, implementation plans, and configuration guidance, then complete assigned implementation tasks with light direction.
- Ability to troubleshoot common network deployment issues and escalate complex problems with clear technical detail.
- Strong documentation skills, including implementation notes, as-built information, test results, and operational handoff details.
- Certifications or equivalent experience in route / switch, wireless, Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto, or SD-WAN technologies preferred.
- Experience with security, unified communications, cloud applications, virtualization, or data center technologies is desirable but secondary to core networking and field implementation experience.

Work Environment Daytime hours -- must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays to complete projects, implementations, migrations, and customer cutovers as needed.
Salary Range: $105,000-$157,500
