Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. This position is especially well suited for former teachers, school counselors, school social workers, administrators, behavioral health professionals, and individuals who enjoy working in both healthcare and the community.

Position Summary

The School Based Assessor & Business Development Liaison serves as a vital connection between Wellstone Regional Hospital, local schools, healthcare providers, referral partners, and families.

This position conducts behavioral health assessments, coordinates admissions, determines the appropriate level of care, and helps ensure a seamless experience for patients and referral sources. The role also develops and maintains strong relationships with schools and community partners while promoting Wellstone's behavioral health services throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral health assessments to determine the appropriate level of care.
  • Coordinate admissions and facilitate the intake process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, hospitals, physicians, and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for assigned school districts.
  • Coordinate communication between schools, families, referral sources, and clinical staff.
  • Assist with discharge planning and school reintegration when appropriate.
  • Represent Wellstone at community events, educational presentations, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve referral processes and patient access.
  • Support strategic business development initiatives that strengthen community partnerships.
  • Promote Wellstone through ethical marketing practices while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Master's degree required.

One to three years of related behavioral health experience required. Experience working with schools, admissions, counseling, education, or community outreach is strongly preferred.

Independent licensure is preferred including LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT, or RN.

Valid driver's license required.

Ability to travel locally throughout Southern Indiana.

Flexibility to attend occasional evening community events or meetings.
