As a Security Officer Baggage Inspector in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, helping support a secure environment through screening procedures, monitoring assigned areas, and managing access activity. You will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and documented screening procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document entries, exits, and/or unusual activity to help support site operations and security-related reporting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, loading areas, and perimeter, noting conditions and/or activity that could help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
