Summary

The Tender Specialist is a strategic, highly analytical role at DSV focused on managing the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process. This position is responsible for extracting data insights, building pricing models, and optimizing tender responses to ensure market competitiveness. The ideal candidate is an expert in manipulating large datasets to drive cross-functional pricing strategies. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a MUST. Additionally, applicants must have excellent communication and time management skills and be able to work efficiently in a small team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Lead end-to-end processing of corporate tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Deconstruct complex customer requirements for global clarity and alignment.
  • Build internal data templates to standardize competitive, cross-functional bid proposals.
  • Guarantee mathematical accuracy, formatting integrity, and completeness across submissions.
  • Develop multimode transport expertise to steer decision-making during bids.
  • Data & Pricing Analytics
  • Build shipment simulations, cost models, and variance charts in Excel.
  • Track historical data, market trends, and competitor actions to adapt models.
  • Use VLOOKUPs, nested formulas, and data manipulation techniques for input sheets.
  • Formulate data-backed recommendations for adjustments to active pricing frameworks.
  • Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track key metrics, identify pricing trends, and organize data for consumption.
  • Leverage Power BI data models to present insights on tender performance and win/loss analysis.



Educational background / Work experience



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, data science, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tender management, marketing, or pricing



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficient in market research and competitive analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation skills and experience in contract negotiations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.



Language skills



  • Fluent in English (oral and written)



Computer Literacy



  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with tender management software and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced execution of Excel formulas, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data cleaning.
  • Competence in building interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Experience querying internal databases and managing data entry integrity.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $65,500 - $75,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
